General Measuring Guidelines
● Measure snugly against the body (no added inches).
● Students should wear tight-fitting garments (not baggy clothes).
● One or two designated people should take all measurements for consistency.
● Follow the FJM reference guide below
Measurement References:
A = Chest/Bust – Measure tightly around the fullest part.
B = Waist – Measure at the belly button/natural waistline.
C = Hips – Measure around the fullest part of the hips/buttocks.
D = Girth – Place the tape at the center front neck base, pull it down through the crotch (snugly for accuracy), and up to the center back neck base. The tape should follow the body in a continuous line.
• Do not measure shoulder to shoulder.
• Do not submit separate front and back measurements.
E = Inseam – Measure from upper inner crotch to ankle bone (leg straight).
F = Height – Total standing height.
G = Bicep – Only needed for arm mitts past the elbow or bicep bands.
H = Forearm – Only needed for arm mitts below the elbow.
I = Calf – Only needed for leg warmers or greaves.
J = Neck – Only needed for neck chokers.
