Rifle Taping 101 Use these three steps to properly tape your rifles for durability and extended life Step 1Remove bolt and strap before taping. Add strapping tape to mid-section and both ends of the rifle. Use 1” strapping tape for less bulk. Step 2 Cover strapping tape with white vinyl tape or 2" white Duct Tape. This adds additional protection, as well as provides a cleaner look by covering the strapping tape. Step 3 Screw bolt and strap back on the rifle, taking care not to overtighten. 2" x 60yd
