Fred, I attended your summer clinics as a drum major twice in the summers or 2006 and 2007. Not only did I have an amazing time, I also learned so much more that now, looking back at it, I have used both on and off the field. I am a member of the Purdue All-American" Marching Band alto sax section and going into my sophomore year of college. This upcoming season, however, I will be assuming the role of the second sophomore DRUM MAJOR ever in the bands history. I definitely owe a great deal of this honor to your clinic program and amazing staff. They didn't only teach technique and presentation, but how to connect with other people. I know I still keep in touch with dozens of people I became friends with over the two years at FJM, and this past year I was probably the only one in band who knew every single one of the 350 piece bands' names. After all, what is a drum major if the band doesn't like him? All of this is basically my way of saying a huge THANK YOU to you and your entire staff. As I said earlier, I consider my achievement proof that FJM Clinics provide a priceless experience.
Sincerely,
Rich Marzullo Drum Major - Purdue "All-American" Marching Band Purdue University '11
